ABOUT THE VEST
This vest was designed to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Bergen Knitting Festival and was developed in collaboration with the Textile Industry Museum. The design is inspired by Norwegian knitting traditions, interpreted in a modern and timeless form – just the way we at Sjøllaget love it!
 
The vest is worked top-down in two different honeycomb textures. Museumstvinn gives the garment a firm and structured appearance. The back is shaped first using a European shoulder construction, then worked down to the armholes. Stitches are then picked up along the shoulders for the front pieces, which are worked separately before joining the front and back. The body is then worked back and forth, as the vest is open at the front. Stitches are picked up along the front edges for button bands, which are worked in double knitting. The vest is finished with an i-cord edge all around and along the armholes.

FIT
The vest is a unisex design. Choose size based on desired chest circumference. The garment is designed with approx. 5–10 cm of positive ease, depending on size and preferred fit.

NOTE! Everyone knits differently, so be sure to make a gauge swatch. If you knit loosely, consider going down half to one needle size. If you knit tightly, consider going up half to one needle size.
